Russia is a very young democracy and has surely problems in the area of legal system, and so does the U.S. too, by the way, where millions are jailed on a sometimes tenfold scale in comparison to many other countries! However, Russian Federation reacted simply to U.S. interference in internal affairs – just read the UN statutes. Compete, but in respect.
