It&#8217;s a defense mechanism to avoid dealing with your own bullshit, to put it simply.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"_Tgc\">So, for example, when you <a href=\"https:\/\/mic.com\/articles\/23708\/guess-which-8-countries-the-u-s-is-waging-secret-drone-campaigns-against\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">terrorize half a dozen countries with flying bomb-dropping robots<\/a>, or are caught <a href=\"https:\/\/theintercept.com\/2014\/12\/09\/map-of-cia-black-sites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">operating secret torture dungeons in Africa and Eastern Europe<\/a>, or arm <a href=\"http:\/\/russia-insider.com\/en\/your-tax-dollars-hard-work-us-armed-moderate-syrian-rebels-join-al-qaedas-bin-laden-front\/ri18804\" rel=\"nofollow\">Takfiri maniacs in hopes of destroying peaceful nations on the other side of the world<\/a>, or bomb <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.cfr.org\/zenko\/2017\/01\/05\/bombs-dropped-in-2016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">multifarious brown countries with conventional planes flown by pilots hopped up on amphetamines<\/a>, or impose sanctions <a href=\"http:\/\/fair.org\/extra\/we-think-the-price-is-worth-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">that kill 500,000 children<\/a>, or just straight-up occupy countries, sometimes for dozens of years or more, and <em>then <\/em>point the finger at a nation that you <em>can&#8217;t<\/em> destroy, because it&#8217;s actually capable of defending itself and protecting its national interests \u2014 <em>this<\/em> is the <\/span>cr\u00e8me de la cr\u00e8me <span class=\"_Tgc\">of psychological projection. Sorry for the run-on sentence. [Edit: It&#8217;s not a run-on sentence. Thank you commenter &#8220;tom&#8221;.]<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And so we are not even remotely surprised that James Mattis, Defense Secretary of the world&#8217;s biggest state sponsor of terrorism, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/iran-worlds-biggest-sponsor-terrorism-us-donald-trump-james-mattis-nuclear-test-missile-sanctions-a7563081.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">just accused Iran of being<\/a> &#8220;the world&#8217;s biggest state sponsor of terrorism&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Mattis made the remarks one day after Donald Trump\u2019s government imposed new sanctions on Iran in response to it testing a ballistic missile. Because if there&#8217;s one thing the United States will not tolerate, it&#8217;s any country that can protect itself from the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s more from our friend Mattis: &#8220;We have seen [Iran&#8217;s] misconduct, their misbehavior, from Lebanon and Syria to Bahrain and to Yemen and it&#8217;s got to be addressed at some point.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"block-block-185\" class=\"block block-block dark-blue block-block-185 first odd\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fincabayano.net\/en\/survival.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Relocate Before The Crash! As if we&#8217;re supposed to be outraged that any country might oppose a despotic regime propped up by the United States and Great Britain. How could you, Tehran?<\/p>\n<p>And of course, it&#8217;s hard to get too upset about Iran&#8217;s role in Syria, considering that Tehran was invited by the sovereign government of Syria to help defeat extremists armed by the U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia \u2014 all the big names in the democracy promotion industry. Yes, Iran was &#8220;asked&#8221; to get involved in Syria. Is Washington even aware that this word exists? Certainly not when it comes to its &#8220;anti-terror&#8221; operations in Syria&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>It really is special when the United States \u2014 a country that deposed the democratically elected leader of Iran, and then replaced him with a murderous autocrat, and then a few years later helped a neighboring rival <a href=\"http:\/\/foreignpolicy.com\/2013\/08\/26\/exclusive-cia-files-prove-america-helped-saddam-as-he-gassed-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">use chemical weapons against the Iranian people<\/a>, and then a few years after that <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Iran_Air_Flight_655\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">shot down an Iranian airliner<\/a>\u00a0 \u2014 wags its finger at Iran and says, &#8220;these monsters have to be &#8216;addressed&#8217; at some point!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Holy shit.
