The United States could bring about\u00a0a positive change in\u00a0the world if it stopped meddling in\u00a0affairs of\u00a0other countries, Israeli publicist and political analyst Avigdor Eskin told Radio Sputnik.<\/p>\n

“People appreciate many things they see in\u00a0America. But when America goes abroad and tries to\u00a0dictate a certain lifestyle and certain solutions, America fails,” Eskin said. “We can see it in\u00a0Iraq, we can see it in\u00a0Libya, we can see it in\u00a0Israel, because nothing is going there the way Americans tried to\u00a0do it. And we can see it in\u00a0Ukraine, the situation is stuck there,” he added.<\/p>\n

The publicist believes that it would be a “very wise decision for [the US] to\u00a0some extent to\u00a0really go back to\u00a0America.” The country\u2019s influence then “would become more humanitarian, peacekeeping and peace-initiating, rather than\u00a0an active policy of\u00a0imposing the American life-style and American-style democracy in\u00a0the places where people live by\u00a0different standards and face very different problems,” the political analyst said.<\/p>\n

“One thing is clear: American involvement, [whether it was in\u00a0the Middle East or in\u00a0the countries of\u00a0the former Soviet Union], did not really bring a lot of\u00a0blessing to\u00a0the places where America dealt with\u00a0the local conflicts,” Eskin emphasized.<\/p>\n
