On Friday, September 19, Belarus and Israel signed an agreement on the abolition of the visa regime, according to the Foreign Ministry’s RB<\/a> .<\/span> On the Israeli side document was signed by the Minister of Immigration and Absorption Sofa Landwehr and Belarusian – Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Mackay.<\/span> The day before they both called the fact of the abolition of visas for citizens of the two countries, “a historic milestone” in the Belarusian-Israeli relations.<\/span> The Treaty will enter into force 90 days, that is already the New Year Belarusians and Israelis will be able to visit each other without visas.<\/span> According to the contract, the citizens of the two countries will be able to, within 180 days, that is, six months, respectively, located on the territory of Israel and Belarus without a visa.<\/span> Belarus became the fourth post-Soviet republic with which Israel has full visa-free regime.<\/span> Prior to this, such agreements have been signed with Russia, Ukraine and Georgia.<\/span> “Cancellation of visa regime, will undoubtedly contribute to the cultural, educational, scientific, business and just human relations between our countries. Importance of the Israeli-Belarusian relations is based on the existence of long-standing historical and cultural ties between our peoples.
