Its own employee resources website recommended workers to avoid burgers and fries whenever possible due to health risks.<\/p>\n<p>The McResource site, notorious for giving\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/usa\/mcdonalds-employees-brake-food-109\/\">advice<\/a>\u00a0on how to make ends meet working for $7.25 an hour at McDonald\u2019s, has cooked up another gem: the folks preparing and serving McDonald\u2019s food should actually avoid eating it themselves \u2013 because it is unhealthy.<\/p>\n<p>To illustrate the difference between \u2018unhealthy choice\u2019 and the \u2018healthier choice\u2019, the website of the food chain that employs some 700,000 people worldwide, for some reason countered graphics depicting a typical McDonald\u2019s meal with graphics very much resembling a meal at the company\u2019s major competitor, Subway: a sandwich with salad and a glass of water.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/files\/news\/21\/a2\/40\/00\/9.jpg\" alt=\"Screenshot of fast-food tips from the McResource Line website, McDonald\u2019s internal website for employees.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Screenshot of fast-food tips from the McResource Line website, McDonald\u2019s internal website for employees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><br \/><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cFast foods are quick, reasonably priced, and readily available alternatives to home cooking. In general, avoiding items that are deep fried are your best bet,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0McDonald\u2019s revealed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/rt.com\/files\/news\/21\/a2\/40\/00\/7.jpg\" alt=\"Screenshot of fast-food tips from the McResource Line website, McDonald\u2019s internal website for employees.\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Screenshot of fast-food tips from the McResource Line website, McDonald\u2019s internal website for employees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The corporate website also warns that\u00a0<em>\u201cpeople with high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease must be very careful about choosing fast food because of its high fat, salt, and sugar levels\u201d and calls to \u201climit the extras such as cheese, bacon and mayonnaise.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>After the new set of stunning revelations from McDonald\u2019s drew the attention of media worldwide, McDonald\u2019s issued a statement saying that,\u00a0<em>\u201cPortions of this website continue to be taken entirely out of context. This website provides useful information from respected third-parties about many topics, among them health and wellness. It also includes information from experts about healthy eating and making balanced choices. McDonald\u2019s agrees with this advice.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Even though a spokesperson for McDonald\u2019s, Lisa McComb, told CNBC that the data from the corporate website web site\u00a0<em>\u201cdoes not advise against fast food\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0the McResource site has already made way too many controversial remarks lately.<\/p>\n<p>Just a couple of weeks ago fast-food workers in over 100 American cities walked off the job, demanding a $15 federal minimum wage, a two-fold rise from the current level.
