Others have posted their photos on Twitter alongside the hashtag <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=#IdidntJoin&amp;src=hash\" rel=\"nofollow\">#IdidntJoin<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/myfutureamerica.org\/?attachment_id=3402\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3402\"><img loading=\"lazy\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PrisonPlanet\" rel=\"nofollow\">@PrisonPlanet<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p id=\"p_10\">As the Obama administration prepares to present a draft resolution to lawmakers that is by no means \u201climited\u201d in its scope and would in fact grease the skids for an open ended war, John Kerry and other State Department officials have signaled that Obama will simply ignore Congress if they vote no and launch the assault anyway.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_20\">This will do little to reassure a growing number of influential figures in the US military who are becoming increasingly recalcitrant about the United States becoming embroiled in yet another war in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_30\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/national-security\/us-military-officers-have-deep-doubts-about-impact-wisdom-of-a-us-strike-on-syria\/2013\/08\/29\/825dd5d4-10ee-11e3-b4cb-fd7ce041d814_story.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">Washington Post reports<\/a> that, \u201cThe Obama administration\u2019s plan to launch a military strike against Syria is being received with serious reservations by many in the US military, which is coping with the scars of two lengthy wars and a rapidly contracting budget, according to current and former officers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_40\">Republican Congressman Justin Amash also took to Twitter to state, \u201cI\u2019ve been hearing a lot from members of our Armed Forces. The message I consistently hear: Please vote no on military action against Syria.\u201d Amash\u2019s statement <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prisonplanet.com\/gop-congressman-military-members-keep-telling-me-to-vote-no-on-syria.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">was followed by a series of tweets<\/a> from military veterans who also expressed their opposition to the attack.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_50\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/soldier-on-syrian-intervention-we-are-stretched-thin-tired-and-broke-2013-9\" rel=\"nofollow\">Business Insider\u2019s Paul Szoldra<\/a> also spoke to \u201csources who are either veterans or currently on active duty in the military,\u201d and asked them if they supported military escalation in Syria.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_60\">\u201cMost have responded with a resounding no,\u201d writes Szoldra.<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_70\">He quotes an active duty First Class Sergeant who states, \u201cWe are stretched thin, tired, and broke,\u201d adding that the United States \u201c(does not) need to be World Police.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"p_80\">\u201cOur involvement in Syria is so dangerous on so many levels, and the 21st century American vet is more keen to this than anybody. It boggles my mind that we are being ignored,\u201d adds former Cpl.
