The decision of the U.S. authorities to add the Russian manufacturer of supercomputers “T-Platforms” in the list of legal entities that are subject to restrictions on the supply of high-tech products – it is a manifestation of unfair competition, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for Science and Education.<\/p>\n

“It is the use of political leverage for unfair competition”, – Putin said. He added that it is necessary to work more actively with its European partners to exhibit greater independence in their decisions, if interested in cooperation with Russia, RIA “Novosti”.<\/p>\n

At a meeting of the Board of Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov said that “T-Platforms” to take an active competition with Chinese and American companies began working on the European market after that and have been included in the list of the U.S. State Department. According to him, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Economic Development and undertaken a number of steps to resolve the situation.<\/p>\n

Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), under the Ministry of Commerce, March 8, announced the introduction of the Russian company “T-Platforms” and its two subsidiaries in Germany and Taiwan in the “list of organizations and persons acting contrary to the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States” .<\/p>\n

The decision BIS noted: “The Bureau has reason to believe that the company” T-Platforms “dual-use items exported without the necessary license, and that the company’s activities related to the development of computer systems for military purposes and the production of computers for nuclear research.”<\/p>\n

“T-Platforms” – Russia’s largest producer of supercomputers, whose activities are of strategic importance for the country.<\/p>\n

The list also includes the world-famous Russian Nuclear Center – Institute of Technical Physics, Snezhinsk and Institute of Experimental Physics in Sarov.<\/p>\n

Inclusion in the “black list” means that the company is set to “presumption of prohibition” to obtain licenses to export, reexport, or transfer of any goods or products manufactured in the United States or to U.S. technology in other countries.<\/p>\n

Restrictions imposed by closing opportunities not only for the purchase of electronic components in the United States, but also to order chips, independently developed by experts “T-Platforms,” \u200b\u200bin any factory of the world, because all the factories use U.S. technology.<\/p>\n

As noted in my March article “Expert” for the “T-Platforms” means the actual “ban on the profession”: without the appropriate hardware components, the production of which is under the complete control of the U.S., the creation of supercomputers is impossible.
