The oral surgeon was not critiqued for this by the dental board. (Discrimination). The Patient was referred to me for restoration of the implant. After surgically removing the cover screw I have realized that the implant was placed too close and with wrong orientation. In an attempt to save the situation I have placed a custom casted abutment with modifications done by the dental lab. Six month later there was a complication. I have immediately offered treatment, referred the patient for evaluation to the oral surgeon who placed the implant, as well to an endodontist to rule out endo pathology of the adjacent teeth. Patient came back with accusations, citing wrong facts he apparently heard from the dentists I have referred him to. They have alleged overhanging crown margins, which was false. I have taken properly care, refunded the fees to the patient, and referred him to the dentist of his trust, which was lost. After almost 5 years the dental board suddenly reacted to the patients complaint. Their expert alleged that I have neglected the patient, didn’t have sufficient education, which was immediately refuted from us. A world famous dental implantologist supported my case (Dr.M.Misch). The board came up with ever new accusations, which were refuted as well. After further 1.5 years, in the pretrial deposition I was shown a magnified picture of the allegedly altered abutment, which showed a rough surface I would usually not accepted, if detected. However, the magnification of the picture was much higher then usually is being used in clinical dentistry. Furthermore, in previous cases I was involved with the dental board it has very probably violated Colorado statutes, has destroyed evidence, has directed illegally treatment, has possibly ordered to remove unnecessary fully integrated implants in several patients, on one elderly patient under general anesthesia without proper medical indication, only to “prove” they were right, (see: Anatomy of a Toxic Tort Trial-Part IV: Judges, Juries and Scientific Evidence; Mayer) I have no doubt that the board would be able to alter the abutment during the 6 years it was in its possession. I have brought up this points in the deposition. My attorney has filed a complaint with the AG ten years ago – no response! No wonder, after all the AG is by law obligated to defend the Dental Board. Great system – one hand washes the other. Since I have to cover the legal cost my self, and the board agreed suddenly to an admonition letter “only”, instead of the draconian punishment it suggested before, I have agreed to the admonition letter, which as you can see does not represent the truth any way. Interestingly, this case came up after I have written a letter to the Colorado authorities criticizing the lies the US government is presenting as reasoning for instigating wars world wide. I have maintained, that since the reasoning of the various wars was false, the political leaders did not provided informed consent for the electorate, and have therefore acted without legal mandate. In my opinion it is a russophobic, antisemitic, or political campaign.
