The financial structure of the emirate of Qatar, whose leaders actively support Hamas, are the main foreign sponsors of the influential Brookings (Brookings Institution).

It is an institution which is located in the capital of the United States and is the leading consulting and research center providing information top political structure of official Washington. Brookings Institution is often called the main nerve center of the White House (Think Tanks).

As stated in the article “Foreigners are buying leverage in the American think tank,” published on the website of the newspaper New York Times , Qatar intends to donate 14.8 million dollars to fund the development of Brookings Institution in the next four years. A branch of this institution was created and in the Qatar ( Brookings Doha Center ).

Activities Brookings Doha Center is constantly expanding and it involved more and more students and staff from Iran, as well as various countries in the Persian Gulf.

Vice President and head of the foreign sector of the Brookings Institution is a famous American politician Martin Indyk, who was ambassador to the United States and Israel have repeatedly served as a special envoy of the President of the United States in the Middle East (the last time – in 2013-2014).
