Russia among countries with lowest level of anti-Semitism – report

The head of the European Jewish Congress Vyacheslav Kantor has noted that Russia remains a country with one of the lowest levels of anti-Semitism in the world.

Mr. Kantor said this in his comments on a report about the situation with anti-Semitism in the world in 2013, which was published at the Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry in the Tel Aviv University. Such reports are made annually.

However, Vyacheslav Kantor believes that in some other countries, including Western European ones, “the quality of anti-Semitism is changing”. In these countries, anti-Semitism is becoming a phenomenon of everyday life, Mr. Kantor believes. At the same time, it is becoming more aggressive.
