WWII monument in Netanya, Israel inaugerated in presents of Vladimir Putin

The Victory Monument in Netanya is a monument to the victory of the Red Army over the Nazi Germany underscores solidarity with Israel.

The monument was erected by order of the Israeli government and with the approval of the Russian government.

The monument consists of two elements that symbolize the transition from darkness to light, and thus the relationship between the military victory of Russia, which ended the Holocaust of the Jewish people upon which later followed the establishment of the Jewish state.

The monument was opened in a ceremony in presents of the visiting President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on 25th June, 2012.
